This year’s theme, “Leading with Intent,” set the tone for impactful discussions centered around executive leadership principles, establishing clarity, and inspiring commitment to the strategic priorities that propel the company forward. This conference is known not only for its focus on strategic alignment and team building, but also for its high-energy awards and growing sponsor presence. This year, the company recognized top performers with coveted honors, including Brand of the Year, Commercial Brand of the Year, and Tech of the Year – the latter featuring a live truck giveaway.
As exciting as that moment is, it comes with logistical hurdles: each hotel has unique rules around where and how the truck can be staged, along with varying security protocols and space limitations. Coordinating those details without disrupting the event flow is always a complex task – especially when winter weather is thrown into the mix!
Adding to the challenge, the exhibit hall saw exponential growth this year, welcoming more sponsors and sponsor guests than ever before. While it’s incredible to see this growth, increased foot traffic, booth space, and brand presence meant TurnPoint needed a more robust and organized procedure to manage the expanded exhibit area efficiently, without sacrificing the attendee experience.
To meet the growing complexity of the event, Brightspot worked closely with our partners to deliver a seamless and impactful experience from start to finish.
For the truck giveaway, our team coordinated with the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center’s security and operations teams well in advance, mapping out a detailed plan to stage the vehicle safely and effectively. From determining the exact load-in location to managing on-site security and traffic flow, to salting down the area around the truck to melt the snow, every logistical detail was covered – ensuring the Tech of the Year moment remained a highlight, not a headache.
Meanwhile, the significantly expanded exhibit hall called for a strategic shift. Brightspot implemented a more structured exhibit management plan, including refined floor layouts, streamlined communication with sponsors through a customized prospectus, and a dedicated on-site team to oversee setup, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a smooth experience throughout the event. This ensured both sponsors and attendees could maximize their engagement and networking opportunities.

Upon check-in, guests received Welcome Bags stocked with essentials, including TurnPoint-branded journals and pens to use throughout the conference. To add a layer of comfort and team spirit, we also provided custom-branded jackets, which quickly became a favorite among attendees – perfect for chilly meeting rooms or casual networking sessions.
To end night two on a sweet note, guests were surprised with a milk and cookie room drop, giving them a nostalgic treat to enjoy before heading to bed.

Day 2 kicked off with a powerful General Session led by keynote speaker Chris McChesney, co-author of The 4 Disciplines of Execution. His session energized the group with insights on driving focus and accountability through leadership.
That evening, the group headed to Washington, D.C., for a private experience at the International Spy Museum. The evening began with a cocktail reception in the museum’s interactive exhibits, followed by an elegant awards dinner in the 7th-floor ballroom, which featured stunning views of the National Monuments.
On the final day, TurnPoint’s CEO, Kurt Bratton, closed the event with a TED Talk–inspired session, leaving attendees inspired as they traveled home.
