Marketing Specialist

The Company

Brightspot Incentives & Events, an Irving-based incentives and events agency, serves Fortune 1000 clients and mid-market enterprises to drive motivation and channel engagement through incentive travel, meeting planning, and sales incentive programs. The individual in this position will be challenged to drive a high level of service excellence and an attitude of ownership and big-picture vision for program success and client satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation Execute day-to-day lead-generation activities across email, website, social, and campaign channels to support marketing goals set by the Marketing Manager. 
  • SEO & AIO Assistance Support ongoing SEO efforts through keyword research, updating metadata, optimizing blog posts, and maintaining internal links across the website. Monitor basic SEO performance metrics (such as rankings, traffic, and keyword health) and flag opportunities for improvement. Research and stay current on SEO, search engine algorithm updates, AI-driven search trends, and content optimization best practices. 
  • Content Development – Write and edit marketing content, including blog posts, case studies, web copy, emails, and social content, to support campaigns and brand visibility. 
  • Social Media Management – Develop monthly content calendar and manage day-to-day posting across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant platforms. Monitor comments, messages, and engagement, escalating as needed. 
  • Website Maintenance – Update website content in WordPress, including pages, blogs, banners, and basic layout edits. Support small website improvement projects, such as updating calls to action, adding resources, or refreshing visuals. Perform routine quality checks to ensure links, forms, and pages function properly. 
  • Marketing Admin Support – Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Marketing Manager, helping maintain project timelines and deliverables. Assist with scheduling, campaign setup, documentation, and maintaining marketing calendars and task lists. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners as needed to gather assets, approvals, or information.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience 
  • Working knowledge of SEO/AIO
  • Creativity in communications – both visual and written
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of WordPress, HubSpot, and Microsoft Office
  • Adobe Creative Suite knowledge
  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated ability in managing multiple/competing priorities 
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
