SLS BAHA MAR

The billion-dollar Baha Mar resort, which also includes the Grand Hyatt and the Rosewood hotels, opened Fall 2017 in Nassau, Bahamas to stellar reviews. SLS brings sophistication and a bit more intimacy to the mega-resort, offering the personalized service of a boutique hotel within convenient access to all the amenities the newest property in the Bahamas has to offer. FOUR SEASONS RESORT ANGUILLA

Four Seasons continues to be a big draw for Anguilla. Formally the Viceroy Anguilla, Four Seasons Resort Anguilla had renovated and reopened in October of 2016. However, when Hurricane Irma hit in 2017 there was another round of renovations to enhance the property even more. When they reopened in March 2018, they were one of two high-end properties to entice travelers back to the island and revitalize the travel scene. Set atop astounding coralline bluffs, this five-star luxury resort offers incentive travel groups three pristine pools, a two-story oceanside spa, and a service culture unlike any other. UNICO 20º 87º HOTEL RIVIERA MAYA

This adults-only all-inclusive officially opened in early 2017, but constantly impresses with swim-up pools on every ground floor room, double-hydro spa tubs on the remaining rooms, and customized in-room amenities based on guest preferences. Aside from the stellar lodgings, the property sports a wellness center, a world-class spa, cigar lounge, and three pools with two swim-up bar. UNICO is expanding the definition of “all-inclusive” to move beyond food and drinks to include complimentary spa, salon, and excursions. After an 18-month closure, Adare Manor and Golf Resort in County Limerick, Ireland reopened in late 2017 to a warm welcome from incentive travel managers with clients looking for a sophisticated, high-end change of scenery from the usual beach and umbrella drinks. In a market where more and more clients seek out unique, authentic experiences Adare Manor offers something truly extraordinary. This Rocco Forte fixture in Florence’s Piazza della Repubblica opened after a six-month closure, the rebooted Hotel Savoy opened again in early 2018. The extensive renovation reduced the number of guestrooms and suites from 102 to 80 and has refocused the best of leather craftsmanship and the Florentine tradition of fine fashion. The recrafted interior reflects the city’s culture with a 16-foot corniced ceiling, caryatid putti adorned reception fixtures, and the iconic Fleur de Lis embedded throughout. WAILEA BEACH RESORT MARRIOTT

For those seeking somewhere new for their Hawaiian incentive trip, Marriott’s Wailea Beach Resort offers a rare new look on Maui. Every piece of the resort highlights its incredible position on the water, which was the site of the first resort in Wailea. Previously the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort is expected to debut its fully upgraded property in May 2018. This resort has been designed with one priority in mind: wellness. To compete with the other Big Island resorts, Hapuna Beach plans on setting itself apart with a wide range of healthy, local dining options and a golf course starkly contrasted against a dark lava field and view of the ocean. WYNDHAM GRAND CLEARWATER BEACH

The largest development ever built on Clearwater Beach, the Wyndham Grand is a testament to the continued draw of domestic travel in a world that seems to shrink every passing minute. The “Grand” is distinct from the usual Wyndham line in that it caters to those seeking a higher-end experience. After its opening in early 2017, the twin 15-story tower property blew visitors away with stunning views of the white sand beaches and giant meeting space complete with an open-air breezeway between the towers that look out into the Gulf. Clearwater has been a personal favorite of our President, Mike May, since his wedding there.
